Connect 4 Rules

Connect 4 Rules. Each player uses pieces of a specific color, usually black and red. Player 2 drops a disc into any of the slots at the top of the grid.

Players attach the legs to the grid and set it up so that both players can reach it. Each turn each player puts a piece of his color inside a column and it will fall until it reaches the lowest available spot. Click on the column you want your disc to fall down into.

Due to the nature of the game setup, connect four is a little more hands on and fun for younger kids to drop their checkers down the slots.

Since only one checker can be placed in the board at a time and all of the slots are divided into rows and columns, it’s not possible to cheat and move a checker once it has been placed. In the event that a team has less than 2 players available, the team that’s short a player will play for both players.


Ensure the slide on the bottom of the grid is locked in place to prevent the checkers from falling out the bottom. When it's your turn, drop one of your checkers into one of the slots at the top of the plastic grid. This can be done horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

Click on the column you want your disc to fall down into.


To be the first player to connect 4 of the same colored discs in a row (either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally) how to play: To play connect 4, try to get 4 of your color checkers in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally before your opponent. The circle checkers (pieces of discs) must be placed from the lowest line until the highest one.

Each player picks 1 color and takes all the checkers and blockers of that color.


Connect four is a simple and fun two player game that only takes minutes to finish. Milton bradley (now owned by hasbro) published a version of this game called connect four in 1974. Hold the grid upright and fold down the leg on each side to form the game base.

Games will be best of 11.


Label any ?%f four yellow checkers with the ;:?$ yellow power markers. Place that tile next to any tile already in play. Each player will drop in one checker piece at a time.
